John Conley is a multi-faceted musician, influenced and experienced in styles of music ranging from jazz to classical, and blues to bluegrass.  John’s interest in music began at an early age, mesmerized by his Grandmother’s basement piano.  From there and on, he has dedicated his life to performing, composing and teaching music.  Graduating from the acclaimed VCU Music Department with a bachelor’s in music performance with Jazz studies, John was privileged to study and perform Doug Richards, Mike Ess, Skip Gailes, Bob Hallahan, Howard Curtis, Steve Wilson, John D’Earth, Jimmy Bruno and John Abercrombie.  He has spent the last 10 years performing around the East Coast area, composing and recording his own music, and teaching private and group lessons to hungry minds.  His versatility and dedication to his craft has earned him prominent roles in many eclectic  styles.
